*If you use Steam overlay, there is a chance that the display will have way too much contrast. Don't worry, the game will load just fine. Note: Right before the game starts, the loading screen will look messed up. Unpack the main file into the GTA IV game-folder, and unpack the optional file into the EFLC game-folder. I recommend: "LongStraight Hair"ĭownload both files.

Make a new folder and copy both GTA IV & EFLC game folders into it. Make sure you have the latest version of both GTA IV & EFLC (The steam version comes already updated) That way, if something goes wrong, or if you want to tryout different renders, then you don't need to install the entire game again. The world of GTA IV & GTA EFLC also can't compare to the incredible details of GTA V, but with this modification guide, GTA IV & GTA EFLC will come closer at least with regards to render & graphics.īefore installing the mods, a few things needs to be setupĪs Grand Theft Auto 4 was not designed to use mods, I highly recommend backing up the game before starting. The graphics of the games are not bad, but they are pretty far from the graphics of GTA V. Even though Grand Theft Auto IV & Episodes From Liberty City were not designed to be modified, it's still possible with the use of some editing tools. It will significantly improve both graphics & effects, and optionally add some new content. The GTA 4 Beautification Project is a small enhancement guide for Grand Theft Auto IV and Grand Theft Auto Episodes From Liberty City.
